Correct TV aerial cable

Go to solution

Hey everyone, We need to connect our BT TV box to the TV aerial socket in the wall. It looks like a screw on connection of some sort. Does anyone know what the correct cable is called?

Are you sure its a terrestrial TV connection and not a satellite one?

Its probably one of these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F_connector

This is normally used on satellite dish connections.

You would need an adapter lead to connect it to the YouView box.

Would it work with an adaptor?
as you said it's probably a satellite dish attached to the other end, which wouldn't work anyway.

BT TV will not pick up the freeview channels through a satellite dish, it needs to be connected to an aerial.
