Either BT is very concerned about the environment or...?

Go to solution

I left BT at the end of my year contract so I kept the YouView box, actually I sold it on ebay

I received in this order:

An email with the subject You need to return your kit. However the actual text reads As you don't need your BT equipment anymore, why not send it back to us so we can recycle it.

I then got a letter in the post not saying that I need to return it but why not if I don't need it

Then I got two pre-stampted recycling bags

Either BT is the keenest company on recycling or this smells like they are actually recycling the kits for refurbishment or spare parts

Dear BT is very rare for people to dump boxes in the trash as:

1. ebay exists

2. you can give those to charity

3. failing that you can dispose at your council

This without having to send stuff back please stop harrassing your former customers!

Hi @Interceptor121,

All electrical good supplies have to offer recycling. Take a look at Electrical waste: retailer and distributor responsibilities

Thanks
