Error WJ900

Getting Error WJ900 (along with others so it seems from the BT Community).  Cannot login or watch on BT TV app AND the same on the laptop.

Very helpful - NOT!! - when it tells me to switch on by BT TV box and tune to Channel 1/2/3 or whichever Channel the programme is on.

Have already done all the Moderator suggestions: Cleared Cookies/Cache, I have a BT TV subscription and have a linked BT ID and I am the a/c holder.  Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Re: Error WJ900

Hi @MKJ,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for posting.

Sorry to hear that you're getting an error message when trying to watch the BTTV app.

Have you ever been able to use the app or online player before?

What channel are you trying to watch on the BTTV app or does it happen with all channels?

Thanks

Matt

Re: Error WJ900

Have been able to view on the app previously but not working now and only just tried to start watching online.

It is ALL BTTV channels.

Re: Error WJ900

If it's telling you to switch on your BT TV box and tune to the channel, it means that you're trying to watch a channel that cannot be watched in the app. The BT TV app is only able to play channels that are included in a BT TV subscription, and are delivered via your broadband. Channels that come down via your TV aerial cannot be watched in the app or on the web.

WJ900 is a web-only error, and indicates either a problem with your account, or a problem with your cookies. What error do you see in the app?

Re: Error WJ900

GJ900 very specifically means that the username or password that you tried to log in with is incorrect.

Re: Error WJ900

Finally logged on to the BT app & can watch BT Sport but cannot watch any other channels still getting the Switch he box on and watch whichever channel.

We have a subscription for BT TV and Now TV, paying for the privilege and cannot watch them on anything other than the main TV.

Re: Error WJ900

As a Now TV subscriber, most of your channels will be watchable in the Now TV app. The BT TV app will only offer you AMC and BT Sport channels (check the "Live" tab for the channels available to watch).
As previously mentioned, Freeview channels (that come via your TV aerial) cannot be watched in the BT TV or Now TV apps.
