I used to have an old TV and had a similar issue. It was sorted by dropping the HDMI output resolution of the YouView box to 720p, have you tried that?

Edit:- sorry, I see you have tried that.

You can get HDMI to SCART converters, (£16) so that may be worth trying.

Look on Amazon, reviews seem reasonable, it does appear to support HDCP because of course, the final output is not HD.

Winner! Got one off ebay for 7.99 in the end. Saved me having to either get a new TV or upgrade by about 8 quid a month to get the next package up. Picture isn't HD but I just wanted it to work without the extra cost. Thanks veyry much Keith.

New box and didn't want to have to pay for an upgrade before I'd had a chance to use it. Genuinely very grateful. Hopefully others with the same problem find this thread. 👍
