Could you post the pros and cons of the new update please. thanks.

There's a thread on the YouView forum which explores various options, some physical such as mains timer switches and some IT based - settings in your router.

It's worth reading right through it.

you view upgrade and I can no longer watch what I want to

Looking at your forums, there are many complaints going back to Feb. I recently had the upgrade and now can no longer use BT app, STV player, when accessing recordings and press back up at end of an episode, it jumps back to the TV channel not the list of recordings. This upgrade clearly has bugs so why are you still rolling it out??? I find this totally unacceptable. Do you even acknowledge there is problems with it? 700 comments in one thread about the upgrades. Have you heard of the iceberg scenario?

Is there a way to undo the update? It's pretty terrible to use and the recorded stuff is horrible. Thank you.

It's only a small minority that don't like the new update.

How on earth can you possibly say it's only a small minority that don't it? You can't possibly speak for everyone with a YouView box.

OK here goes, here are the main unacknowledged features which have gone AWOL although I don't peruse the YV forums

  1. Can not sort, filter by watched/unwatched (or search) recordings
  2. Can not start playback of recording  from specified time offset
  3. Missing real time position during live pause
  4. Can't hide channels from planner
  5. Can not set lock on currently recording programme
  6. Longer programme desriptions seem to have been truncated
  7. Yellow 'Lock programme' reminder missing from programme info
  8. I consider the awful modal delete confirmation to be a serious styling mistake too, come on have they tried this on a 55" screen it's really jaring
  9. The real time clock no longer display when you press info
  10. The on screen banner covers too much of the display
  11. missing mini TV and TV picture in background is too opaque to make up for
  12. Also MyTV should logically appear first on the left when you press Y since there is a button for the guide

Those are just the ones that spring to mind !

Time to point out again that that biggest loss as far as I am concerned is the ability to quickly and easily move the play-point.
