IPC 6023 Error.....PLEASE HELP!!!

Go to solution

Hi I'm hoping someone on here can help.

My services were activated on 5th May and as yet I haven't managed to watch a single channel on my new youview box.

I have already had an engineer out who believed the issue was that the channels hadn't been provisioned correctly.

I can use my broadband on all other devices great, I've had Bt Infinity 2 with the new smart hub. I have the UHD youview + box.

I can watch my subscription channels on the BT TV app, I'm registering a speed of approx 55-60 Mbps downstream and 17-20 Mbps upstream.

I've reset my youview box and updated the software countless times, the same with my router. I have another engineer coming out next week but after many hours of online live chat, phone calls and an engineer visit already, I don't hold out much hope for this being sorted. I'm fairly Tech savvy so I know I'm not making a simple mistake in set up.

If anyone can help, I would be most greatful.

Thanks in advance

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

Hi @ndavis and welcome.

I'm sorry you're having problems the the 6023 error message. Can you try Fix IPC 6023 error code and let me know if that helps. If you're still having problems our TV specialist @Martin--W might be able to lend a hand.

Cheers

David

Do you have a direct ethernet connection between your router and your stb or are you using a network hub of some kind? some hubs are not too good with Miracast.

Hi there.

I am connected directly into the Hub via ethernet cable and have tried in all 4 ports on the router as well.

I had this problem a few years back and managed to find a solution that worked for me but met with indifferent reaction from others on the forum who had the same problem. Still if you want to try it this is how I did it.

Log onto your router and note the DHCP address range and DNS server address, Log off of the router

Go into network settings on your STB and allocate a static IP address which is not in the routers DHCP pool.

Set the DNS address to the one noted from the router settings.
