Had engineer visit who after doing all the checks confirmed it is a multicast problem usually at exchange occasionally at cabinet. Await phone call tomorrow
I had a broadband engineer come and look at the line yesterday he was unable to fix the problem with the BT youview error IPC 6023.
BT are sending a Qube engineer on Friday to have a look at the problem, hopefully he will be able to sort it out.
It does sound like it may be a local problem though as the broadband engineer said he had a job 2 streets away the day before mine with exactly the same problem that he couldn't resolve.
I'm in the M35 area of Manchester.
It was a Qube engineer who came out yesterday and agreed it is a multi cast problem.
Had a phone call 1hr ago to ask if problem fixed. Promised call back in 10 mins. Whilst talking to him missed call on mobile ftom another engineer who promised to ring back with 2 hrs.
After another engineer visit followed by an hour long phone call, another visit booked for monday. Fault now said to be in cabinet.
So far tried a new hub, a new box a new ip address,
Now waiting for confirmation on engineer visit.
