Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

Hi Alan, sorry I should have said, it will need to be a homehub 3, 4 or 5.

There are some guides on this forum on configuring non bt routers (I'm mobile so can't look them up easily)

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

Hi Steve,

Should BT have given me a hub upgrade for BT Vision?

I'll check out the forum for router config.

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

There's a section in the manual that refers to "Movie Engine" aand multicasting & snooping (page 68) , whether that's relevant to this problem I'm not sure.

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

Hi Steve,

BT are sending me a HH3 as a swap for my HH2.

Thanks for your help.

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

Thanks for the suggestion of using VLC - that worked fine with my HH3 - long stream with no interuption (>15 mins)

However, my box still gets stuck at the 4mins 22seconds point with all internet channels. I have done a complete reset (losing my recordings - but they were only the first 4 minutes anyway!)

Of course, I can make it work if I am watching (OK-back-OK every 4 minutes or so) but that doesn't fix a recording.

This is drivng me mad - sadly this just isn't a production system at the moment.

The 256 second plus a few seems well known - why is it still a problem??

Software 17.3.0

Component 2.4.0

PlatConfig 910

ISP Config 90

all just refreshed

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

Can you watch a channel for more than 4 minuntes when every other device on the network is unplugged? It sounds like a device is taking over the IGMP reporting from the youview box.

Re: IPC6023 - Advanced Diagnosis

unplugged all ethernet cables (except box) also turned off wireless

so box only thing connected to HH3/Infinity

same IPC6023 at the same time - 262 seconds

totally repeatable every time with internet channels

VLC fine on test stream

can I try VLC on "live" streams? like Alibi or something?

broken box?
