Drop the HDMI resolution slightly. I have an LG TV which occasionally drops out if the YouView box is set to output 1080p.
Changing it to 1080i seems to cure the problem.
If that fails, then try 576p, then 576i.
I suspect its simply due to slight timing variations between the YouView box, and the make of TV.
You could also try a better quality, or shorter HDMI lead, to see if it helps.
Cheers Keith! Dropping it from 1080 to 720 seems to have sorted the issue
I did mean to say 720p and not 576p on my last post, but it was too late to edit it.
If Netflix was operating at HD, which is does on certain content, then it would push things to the limit. You may have even noticed the problem on Freeview HD content.
1080p (progressive), does push things to the limit, and everything has to be spot on, if its to maintain the connection.
The symptoms on my LG TV, would show as loss of sound, and "snow" on the screen.
Unplugging the HDMI, then plugging it back in again cured the problem for a while.
Most people are not going to notice the difference between 1080p and 720p, depending on the displayed content, and the native resolution of their TV.
