Is my box broken

My box has become unusable. Recently it came up wth a message about a low quality aerial signal (previously it was 80-odd percent). Retuning the channels took about a second with the cursor moving over the screen from 1 to mid 50s to the end and telling me no channels were found. Resetting the box made it appear to work but it didn't last long. Now it's just not usable on anything but the internet channels and the on-demand content. There's nothing wrong with the aerial and plugging a friends youview box in shows all the freeview channels as there.

 

Sounds like my box is knackered to me. Possibly a loose connection on the aerial attachment? Anyone any ideas?
