I lost my Hd subscription channels. I was trying to manually update the software but when I go to settings I do not see a software update option ?
I have the following options
payment pin/ bb speed checker/screensaver/ auto play trailer preference/system info/ reset BT player date
I had this option before as it is not the first time I lose channels I pay for ...

I believe the Settings menu you are seeing is the BT TV player settings.
The settings menu on the Youview/BT Tv home page is the one which has a (box) update software option under Software Information. You get to the settings menu from the home page (press home or youview button on remote) and navigate to the top right hand side of the screen where you see a cog like symbol which is Settings.
