I have only recently began with BTTV and have a new bt box. The box will frequently reset into maintainance mode, usually overnight. I have reset the box through each of the settings on there which include factory resets, with and without keeping recordings. I contacted live help who were of no help as they suggested turning it off and back on again, which I did. Then asked if it turned on ok and I said yes. They then said they were glad BT could sort my problem for me. Other than factory resets which do not help, the only other thing I have found which decreases the frequency of the crashes is to keep the box in always on mode which is not ideal. Is there anything I can do that hasn'e been tried or is this new box just truly faulted?

Can only speculate but given that the problem seems only to be occurring at start up then it could be a problem with the loading process possibly the hard drive checks not completing successfully.

I am sorry to see that it keeps getting stuck in maintenance mode. From my checks, I do believe that the box is faulty. I've ordered a replacement Youview + box free of charge. It's due to arrive on this Thursday, 7th of March. I'll be in the office on both Thursday and Friday should you get a chance to test the box I've sent you. I'll be in touch on Friday if I haven't heard back from you by then.
