New YouView box upgrade for £35?

The new YouView box - Humax DTR-T2110 (also know as the "G4") has now been officially released.

Press reports are saying that if you're an existing BT YouView customer there will be the option to upgrade from £35.

Does anyone know exactly how this upgrade works?

Re: New YouView box upgrade for £35?

well you could refer the BT reps to BT's own media release which says

Many existing customers can upgrade to the new box for £35.

I wonder why they use the word MANY existing customers can upgrade for £35, why not ALL existing customers.Smiley Surprised

It will be the customers not in contract that can get the upgrade but ones still in contract can't.

I can read BT like a book.

I still got at lest 10 or so months to go before my BT Youview TV and Infinity contract comes to near an end. So I guess I will have to wait till then to ask for the new BT Youview box. Im also still using the Home Hub 3.

Followed the same route, and getting the new G4 box for £35 and contracting for a further12 months plus an additonal £2 discount off my entertainment package for three months.
