No HDMI Signal - DTRT1000 - Cant get to Factory Reset

Hi,

 

I keep getting the No HDMI message from my TV when I turn my Box on

 

I have tried to get into Maintenance mode - but it wont even display the boot screen!

 

Software was last updated on 11th Jan 26.40.0

 

Any suggestions?

Do you have a Scart cable you can try to connect  Youview box to Tv to determine whether it is a display or box problem ?

 

Also if you have alternative HDMI cable try that,

also if you have alternative HDMI slot on Tv try that.

You could try a different hdmi lead or hdmi port on your TV.

 

Or just unplug existing lead and plug it in again to see if that helps.

 

Failing that if you have a SCART lead and your TV has a SCART input you could connect temporarily via that instead (disconnect hdmi connection) and then set resolution to 720p and then disconnect SCART and try HDMI connection again.

Hi,

 

I have tried a different HDMI cable - no different

 

I have tried the other HDMI slot - no different

 

Scart works - so not a display problem

 

Any other suggestions?

Well as you can get display with the Scart.

the maintenance mode options 2 or 4 should preserve recordings.

 

If you still have a BT TV package then notifying them of the problem would be sensible as potentially a box replacement may be needed if the problem doesn't go away.

 

Suffice to say watching any key recordings is a good idea as you may lose them if a full factory reset or box replacement is needed.

I went through Maintenance reset via the Scart - then changed it back to HDMI - still no change!

Well unless there has been any recent firmware upgrade to your TV I suspect the box may need replacement. 

 

If you have a second Tv in the house to confirm that the problem exists when you connect the Youview box to that as well.

Its not a smart TV, so Im pretty sure there hasnt been any upgrade

What video mode is the Youview box set to? What video mode is the TV set to?
