That's only via the app's. The T4000 won't do HDR so makes no difference.

Another nail in the coffin of T4000 then, what is the point of this box? Can't do HDR, can't handle Dolby Vision for apps like Netflix and can't even do HD properly!

Maybe time for a new box from BT 😉 as the advert says we will never stop pushing the quality boundaries

According to the link I posted:

Both finals will be available to all on mobiles, tablets, and selected smart TVs and games consoles via the BT Sport app, as well as online at BTSport.com and on YouTube.

*Only the Champions League final will be shown in HD HDR. Anyone intending to watch in HD HDR will need a BT Sport subscription and the BT Sport app on mobile, tablet, Samsung Smart TVs (2015 onwards), Apple TV 4K, Chromecast Ultra or Xbox One (X and S).

It will only work in HDR if it’s a Chromecast Ultra.

Thanks GlasgowWoman and everyone else who reported and commented on the slightly soft HD picture quality on the Ultra HD 4K (DTR-4000) box.

We've investigated this thoroughly and have made some significant improvements to the HD Picture quality on the Ultra HD 4K box.

Note the other boxes were not affected. 4K picture quality on these boxes is unchanged too and I think everyone is very pleased with the sharpness on the 4K BT Sport programmes.

This was resolved in Manufacturer Software 32.35.0 and all of the boxes should have upgraded to this version now.

Best regards,

PaulSk

Thanks Paul,

The question has to be asked, how on earth did this product ever get to market with this problem? Did nobody through the entire design, manufacturing and testing of the product not notice anything wrong?

The mind boggles!
