RTE2 showing on BT Youview App in Central Scotland.

Go to solution

Just noticed on the App that RTE2 is on Ch54. I am based in Central Scotland so don't expect to see it. I changed the region to a couple of different regions but it was still there. There is no Ch54 on my DTR T1000. Appears to be some kind of glitch developed since the recent channel shuffle.

I only use the App to check what is coming on since the 1000 doesn't sync anymore with the App.

Looking on my device I think there are a few issues with the BT Tv App channel list at the moment.

Hopefully the mods could alert the  relevant team,

I would speculate  that RTE2  available in Ireland now has a channel number previous used for a  nationally available channel  and so hasn't been filtered out of your channel list.

Some channels changed number this week. RTE2 moved to #54 in the Northern Ireland regions.

The listings on the app have never been 100% - still not seeing out local That's channel on 007 on it.

We too have RTE2 listing.

The BT app seems to have always listed Freeview channels that some views like me don't get.

This is the first time I have seen RTE 2 listed on the app.

I to am from the Central Scotland area. Just under 12 miles north of Edinburgh.

We currently get our data from a 3rd party that recognises the UK being broken down into 21 TV regions. The YouView box recognises over 50 different regions. There is therefore a little accuracy lost, when we map to the nearest region.

We're currently working with YouView to move directly to getting the data from them, which will allow us to see the exact TV channel and programme list that your box should be capable of receiving based on the transmitter you're pointing at - though there will still be some inaccuracies based on signal strength.  In the meantime, we still need to keep correcting little errors like this.

I'd hoped we'd have switched over by xmas, but it's now looking more likely to be the new year - there's a lot of stuff to test!

@DarrenDev- what are the chances of getting That's TV added for Oxford?

Not possible at the moment @ozsat but it will appear as soon as we've switched to the new feed from YouView (mentioned above).

We had a planning session this morning, and have agreed to go all out and aim to move to YouView data in our next TV app update scheduled for release December 9th.
