Hi all, I've ordered a YouView+ box arriving next week and I intend to house it in a small wooden cabinet which my TV sits on top of. It's a nice piece of furniture which I don't want to replace, however I'm aware that the box can't read the remote control unless the door of the cabinet is pulled down, exposing the box, DVD player and other items I have in there.
Can anyone please recommend a cheap, discreet-looking infrared remote extender which I can connect to the YouView box, which lets me point the remote towards the TV and change channel etc without needing to keep the cabinet door down? I've had a look online but can't seem to find anything which matches this criteria and the BT sales rep wasn't aware of any product that did so, as helpful as he was. Many thanks in advance.

If you're interested, I've managed to get my single youview box working to every TV in the house using magic eye's 🙂
The trick is that on the youview end, instead of plugging into RF2 like a skybox, I plug it into a tvLINK®plus device which converts the IR commands on the coax back to IR out of an emmiter 😄
When I get time I will take a photo and maybe do a wiring diagram as I know people have asked before.
I then take HDMI output to a splitter and feed the TV's.
Can you confirm how/ where the tvLINK-plus device connects into the Youview box, please?
TV Link -> Youview STB Aerial in socket (coax cable)
TV Link -> Youview IR input via included IR blaster hanging over the front.
I have 3 x 10m HDMI's and one over coax using an external modulator.
Yes I use the standard sky magic eyes.
Is there any chance you could do a quick diagram of your complete setup and post a pic of it?
Nothing fancy, just so others can copy, as clearly your system works.
Thanks in advance,
