Sky to BT - Tv Aerial

Go to solution

I have recently moved into a flat where there are some sky cables/aerial wires in place (previous tenant had sky) and an old style aerial point in the wall.

I connected my BT you view box using an old style aerial which I plugged into the point in the wall, however the signal is poor.

My question is, if I were to buy a connector for the sky aerial wires and plug into the BT You View box, is this likely to resolve my issue and improve signal strength?

Thanks!

No, that will not work, you need a terrestrial TV aerial signal, not a feed from a satellite dish.

You need to identify why the Freeview signal is so poor. Perhaps the aerial distribution system is faulty, ask the landlord.
