Software update stuck at 0%

Hello,

I have come back off holiday and the BT box is showing as "Software update stuck at 0%". This is my 3rd box and I was given a UHD box and now after 2 weeks, this one has this error! It means I also have no internet channels.

There is an internet connection as I can use Iplayer and Netflix on it.

Don't' tell me yet again I have to do a factory reset??

If iPlayer and Netflix are working then the box must be responding to the remote control, try a manual update from settings

Eventually what worked was a factory reset. Gone are all programmes etc.  Useless thing.

Sane here right now, 40 mins sat watching it buffer what a pile of fish BT TV is. Also been away and missed tailored for you deal on my B/band trap me for another 18 months! Now my bill is £20 more and for what? Slow internet, **bleep** TV, now goingvto havecto reset and lose all recordings 😡 will be moving back to sky asap

My box did this on the last update. You may have already tried this, but mine fixed itself when I disconnected, then reconnected the power. Not just switching off with the remote as that did nothing, but after my box reconnected and booted up the problem update was installed. So if you haven't tried that, give it a go before you try the reset, as that way you won't lose your recordings
