TV essentials

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice.

I have a broadband, landline & TV essentials package. I've had it for so long now I cant even recall what I'm paying for with TV essentials! I'm looking at all my monthly outgoings and looking to save a bit of cash and I'm sure TV essentials is something I dont need.

None of us ever watch any sports and dont pay for any additional channels, so am I effectively paying money each month for my YouView box?

If I cancel TV essentials will I need to buy a new box, or will I still be able to record using the BT box?

All I need is internet and line rental, can I just cancel the TV package or will I need to take out a whole new contract?

Any advice appreciated!

@rep

How long have you had the BT YouView box?

If you are out of contract, then the box is yours. It will work as a normal YouView box, without the BT content, if you cancel it.

You can record FreeView as normal.

Re: TV essentials

Thanks, I thought it would be the case. I've had the box for about 4 years now, so quite some time!
