The YVM302 conundrum

OK here goes. My youview box died kept rebooting. Tried to get new box, told could only get one with engineer, booked in engineer didn't show, so they sent box out in the post (first point of annoyance).

New box set up all working well until a couple of hours later, getting pixelated picture on aerial channels, but perfect on bt sport etc.

retune now only 19 channels, still pixelated 

Signal strength over 90% picture quality 0%.

when aerial directly into tv brilliant picture on all channels.

2nd box in other room works perfectly, and was not replaced.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post!

I'm sorry for the error message you're seeing on your BT TV service.  The YVM302 error comes up when we aren't getting enough signal from your aerial.  The strange thing is that when you connect the aerial to your TV it works without any issue and the second box works fine too.

Due to the time this has been going on and the conflicting info you have received, we'll be happy to pick this up and give you a hand from here.

I'm going through this at the moment. My signal is too strong so I'm trying an attenuator to reduce the signal strength. I've also removed my amplifier. Hopefully this will help. Have you got an attenuator to see if it helps you?

I've retuned it just now and have 160 channels. Very strange, but it's working.

I did switch the box off for 3 days
