Every evening for the last couple of weeks I've been watching an episode of Taskmaster on the UKTV Play app.
Normally the app asks me to confirm I'm over 16 each time I select an episode to view, which I do, then it plays.
This evening I fired up the app ready to watch the next episode to find they're all blocked, because the app thinks I've got Parental Controls enabled (I haven't). It no longer asks me to confirm my age - it just says it's using the parental controls on my device and won't let me watch anything with a 'G' tag.
I've double-checked the settings and parental controls are definiely OFF. Also tried a complete shutdown, power off and cold start of the box - no joy.
The app is no longer usable.

Sorry to hear you are having a problem with the UKTV app. The problem is being investigated currently.
A short term mitigation is to turn YouView parental controls ON. Viewer will then get YouViews PIN prompt and after entering YouView PIN you can watch the content. If you have YouView parental controls OFF the UKTV Play app takes you to a 'error' page.
The issue was triggered during an app update yesterday and is being sorted out currently.
This issue has now been resolved and so you should be able to now watch content as normal. Thank you,
Thanks! I look forward to trying it later this evening 🙂
