UKTV Play app

Has the UKTV Play app stopped working for anyone else on the YouView tv box? We’ve been watching shows on there fairly regularly it this week we can’t access it. It appears to start to load and then just returns to the previous screen

Hi @Stubbsy1, welcome to the forum and sorry you are not able to access the UKTV Play app.
Are the other apps working ok?
If you are still having problems try a Reset of the BT TV box and see if that resolves the issue.

Looking at UK Play official support twitter feed

the did tweet 

“We're aware of playback issues that affected viewers over the weekend, this is now resolved on most devices”

Suggest If BT Support are not not able to assist you that you look to UK Play’s own support

Hi John,

I've done all the usual stuff, turning off and on, checking the system update etc. Nothing has fixed it. All the other apps work on the tv box. The UKTV app works on our iPad too. It's odd because it was working fine a few days ago.

When we try to start the app on the tv the 'loading' screen comes up, sits there for a bit and then disappears and we get kicked out back to the main programme screen.

Hi @Stubbsy1 thanks for posting back and have you contacted UKTV Play yet as mentioned by @zulu17 to see if there is still and issue with your box?

Post back and let me know and if the issue is resolved as far as they are concerned we will be happy to help you further.

I ran a factory reset as a few people advised and that has fixed it.
