is there an easy way to find out what's on the BT TV channels without ploughing through the whole Youview channel listings?

Yes - when you select Guide on the Youview box -- use the filter option -- then you can select or navigate to Subscribed to list the BT channels only .

There are other filter options that you might find usefu . -- the default is all channels
