I've had the box for a fair while without problem. Currently on starting up from power disconnection it won't get past the Waking Up/Loading stage. I note that the broadband light is not lit. The ethernet cable is fine (I took it out an tested it on my laptop). I have tried the Factory Reset procedure but this seems to have no effect. Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi @John_Sutton
Which Box is it T1000 , T2100 series , T4000 UHD or. T2200 (non recordable) ?
Do you have an active BT TV contract ?
Hi,
The Box is DTR-T2100/500G/BT/DF Model Code 91-00438
and Yes, I do have an active BT TV contract.
It sounds like the hard drive has given up.
Switch off at the back, wait a few seconds then turn back on again.
Listen very carefully for any noise coming from the box, if you can hear a soft, reccuring clicking sound then the HDD is faulty.
As you're under contract, BT will replace the box F.O.C. but it will be under the loan agreement, i.e. it will remain BT property
Thank you for that. There is indeed a regular (every 2 seconds by my timing!) click. Problem these days is how to get in touch with BT as they are not taking phone calls apart from the vulnerable.
With any luck, one of the mods will pickup on this thread and offer help. Just bear in mind that they are also BT employees and under the circumstances could have extra duties to keep them busy.
If you're on one of the NowTV packages, you might want to consider the NowTV app and a chromecast or a Roku stick to get you by as a temporary measure
Hi @John_Sutton,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post.
Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your BTTV box.
I think the guys have pretty diagnosed this one for me.
I've sent you a Private Message with details on how you can get in contact with the mod team and we can arrange a new BTTV box.
Thanks
Matt
