Well, what do you know? Last nights American Football Recording on ESPN Failed.

 

When I switched onto TV guide I realised that's probably because alll the internet channels have disappeared.

 

Getting the error message IPC6002 - BTV-251-M

 

Needless to say, switching the box off/on again restored the channels, but not my failed recording!

 

This is testing my patience way beyond its limits.

 

I'm away for a couple of days now, but do feel free to help ease my pain!

Hi Nland-Knight,

 

Have you tried setting the TV box to have a static IP, this may help.

 

To do this simply do the following,

 

Hub:

1. Log into the Hub here (http://192.168.1.254/)

2. Go to Advanced Settings > Home Network > Click on the TV box

3. Click 'yes' on the 'always use this IP Address' option

4. Then click 'apply'

 

STB

1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wired Connection – select Manual

2. Insert the IP address assigned to the tv box in the hub

 

Would be good to know if this works 🙂

 

What Home Hub do you have? Home Hub 5A or 5B?

What eco mode are you in? (Settings > Device Management > Eco-Mode)

Did you try the maintenance mode recovery that I suggested? It's got to be worth a try at least...

But obviously try the recommendation from the BT TV Expert first - I didn't notice this when I posted....

Just back from a weekend away and back to a bunch of failed recordings as I anticipated. So I will take a look at the suggestions above this evening and report back.

And just to make things even better I'm getting a BT / Lithium User Name / Password request every single time I go onto an individual page or make a comment on this website. Despite clicking 'remember my credentials each time, it doesn't! I genuinely don't know how much more painful the entire BT TV experience could possibly be. Sorry, rant over, for now!

Except, I have an immediate answer to the 'how much more difficult' question. The Lithium prompt now takes at least 3 goes to register my name/password. Crazy, just plain crazy.

just hit 'Cancel' for that prompt - its probably caused by the earlier posting by a BT Id ...

Tried this, now I have absolutely no access to internet channels.

Resetting wired connection to automatic got the channels back, but hasn't solved the overall problem sadly.
