I selected the 'update' option for my YouView box and apart from a nice blue screen informing me that the update has made 0% progress nothing has happened. Switching off the Box does nothing as it returns to the same state so currently, the box is unusable.
It would be best if I could get the update done in a sensible timeframe, otherwise forgo the update and get the box back working again.
The box has a working Ethernet connection.

Perhaps see if after powering off if you remove the Ethernet cable and see if the box starts when the box is then powered back on. Ie will the box start without an internet connection
More details of box type .. and if you know what software version the box was on before.
Also what prompted you you do a manual update .. were you having problems before ?
