Thought I'd share my experience as it may help someone who experiences the same problem.
After the software upgrade I was unable to connect to Broadband with my BT Youview box. I tried resetting the box to no avail. The box froze when I tried to access the Settings option on the menu. My Samsung TV was connecting to my broadband ok. I checked for any software updates to my TV and there was a later version. I downloaded this and hey presto everything worked ok.

No problems here and I got two Youview boxes one conected to the Samsung 32inch full HD smart TV in living room. Other box is conected to the Samsung 22 inch full HD smart TV in my bedroom. Only one of the Youview boxes is used for BT TV. Other box is used as a Freeview PVR and for the free catch up players.
