Re: Youview 10m Ethernet Cable

Doesn't that confirm what we thought.

The supplied 10m flat cable only gives four connected wires so doesn't support Gigabit. Not a problem when plugged into a Youview box for receiving BT TV.

The G4 box isn't a Gigabit device. Not a problem for receiving BT TV. Using a different cable won't change that. I'm assuming you have the G4?

Re: Youview 10m Ethernet Cable

You should not really use cat5 cable over 10 meters, about 15m is the max, i would suggest. For longer routes you should use cat6

@Rayar

Why post in a thread that's nearly 3 years since the last posting?

Also  Cat5 would be adequate for far more than 15metres , more like 100metres being the generally accepted maximum.
