Youview Confused

Go to solution

Will youview box work on Homehub2 (or do I upgrade to 3) with Infinity.

Is there any need now for new Bt Vision Boxes or am I missing something.

As confused as ever.?

The HH2 will work fine.

I've no idea why you've got confused about whether you need a HH3 or infinity; neither are requirements for Youview.

In fact no Homehub is needed, in order to protect my family from the nasty parts of the web on all the gadgets in the house, using free OpenDNS,  I use a non-BT router. For those with families I could not recommend this approach any more strongly.

I agree - don't use a HH if you can afford a decent router buy your own

Do you get any QoS through YouView? If so, you may have to configure your router appropriately if it's not a HH.

As I understand it QoS is applied to BT Player on YouView, but nothing else.

Are you saying the HH is doing QOS ? Do you have any confirmation that this is the case, first I heard of it ?
