We have been observing some of the recent posts with regards to customers on limited allowance products who also have Youview with BT (BT TV subscription). We have spoken to the usage team and can confirm that Youview usage is currently showing on the usage monitor.
We can also confirm that because of this, BT has not at any time in the past charged any of these customers for exceeding their allowance and will not be charging these customers for the duration of this problem. Customer’s will not have to do anything, we will take care of that.
Some customers who are new to Youview may have been able to see this on their usage monitor but will have found that after a week or so they were unable to access the monitor. In this instance, customer’s may also notice a message notifying them that they will not be charged for exceeding their allowance.
If any customer with a BT TV subscription finds that they have been charged for usage, then please let us know so that we can investigate. We will inform customers as soon as we’ve fixed the data issue with Youview and those currently affected should then be able to access their usage monitor.
