Re: Youview & BT Sports

So it  as Steve M  explained in an earlier post -

If Fibre Multicast via Infinity is available then  BT does not currently offer copper multicast as an option for its IPTV services.

BT are offering the copper multicast option for BT Sports only where the Infinity multicast option is not available.

So if you choose to take BT Infinity then the BT IPTV channels including BT sports would be available. Suprised you haven't been offeed the opportunity to move to Infinity.

Hey Zulu,

Sorry for jumping in on this thread but just wondering... what if the exchange is infinity enabled but the cabinet is not? Just out of interest.

Thanks!

Right. Got it now.

Was offered infinity but don't really need it. 16 Mbps Is fine for now. Don't want to pay more for infinity at the minute. Just would have been better on the 40 LCD than my iphone or pc monitor.

Also I think I could have had it on the old bt vision box with adsl. So seems odd I can't on the YV box.

You could upgrade to Infinity and get £50 towards the extra cost.

Thanks.

Might toy with the Chromecast idea but tbh the BT Sports wasn't for me. Its for the kids when they visit.

Annoying that with the old BT Vision box i could have had it through ADSL (apparently) but not with YouView.

Since BT started to do BT Sports over ADSL, they would only do this if Infinity wasn't available to you. If you could have Infinity then it was a no, no. That is whether you had a Vision or Youview Box.

I am very impressed with the Chromcast I bought though.
