Youview software update

Hi all 

Decided to fire up the youview box that has not been switched on for a while. 

Went to search for a film and got a system message to say needed a software update. 

I went into settings and attempted this a couple of times.

If I check in device management it says I have the latest software installed, however if I check the software version on system info it says I am only at 23.14.0 last updated 2 Nov 2017.

How can I force the system to give me the latest version?

Couple of questions  as cannot easily find a look up to that software level.

which Youview box is it? Using the help key followed by I (info) button is one way of finding out if you are unsure ?

When you look at recordings on the box are they in lists or displayed in boxes/lists

do you have any recordings that you need to retain on the box  ?

 

is the box connected to your broadband and has a aerial connection ?

Probably a maintenance mode reset or a factory reset  over internet might be needed but could prove problematical if the current software is very old.

Software check and update (if necessary) is usually performed on restart as part of factory reset

Cheers everyone. Got a few pointers. 

Just remembered regarding the software level, I was on a couple of trials of youview so suspect that is trial software and probably is/was the latest.

I am sure I had to subscribe the box to another group that then gave me the trial software, so guess now have to revert which should give me the latest software
