can you watch a different channel than the main subscrition holder if you subscribe to an extra box, and does this include using the nowtv pass. the wording only states two users can view at same time, but does not indicate whether this is the same channel that both have to watch as my mother who is 90 would never watch the same programs as us. Also would she be able to record programs on her box. We currently have multiroon sky so she has he own box to record one. Is this in the £5 extra for multiroom cost.
Hi @ladysnoopy, welcome to the community, yes it includes the Now TV subscription and you can watch different channels at the same time. When placing the order make sure to specify that you want the second box to be recordable as there are different versions.
Extra Box requirements
Fibre broadband with speeds of 23Mbps or more
An Extra Box subscription or Extra Box bolt-on
Two non-recordable TV boxes, or two recordable TV boxes, or a non-recordable TV box and a recordable TV box
A separate aerial connection for your second box. We can help if you need an aerial or additional connection points.
According to currrent BT websites the current available Extra Box product comprises of a loaned Youview (non recordable box) . It would help IF other variants are available if the BT documentation reflected this .
@NeilO are you sure that the other options are still available or are they now legacy products not available for new order ?
