youview TV Box standby problem

My Youview Box works very well except for a very slow to restart. I followed on screen advice to select smart standby mode but when I do this, the box always resets to automatic standby 3 hr. Please advise

Hi @rodW welcome to the community.

The Automatic Standby  and  Standby Mode  plus the Start Deep Sleep and End Deep Sleep are all controlled within

Youview >Settings>Box Management >Power & Standby

so if have you set Standby Mode to SMART  you can  select the Automatic Standby  line which you seem to have currently at 3 hours and change it to another value eg 2 , 4 or 12 hours.

Many thanks for your advice. I hadn't realised that each standby mode had a further level of configuration and that smart mode was already in operation. I feel the software designer(s) confuse users by showing the message Use smartmode for faster startup  when YouView is booting up even when it is in operation!
