How to Create BT email address

Hi, please can someone guide how to create a email account with XXXX@btinternet.com. I have logged in to my BT id which is a Gmail account but could not find any option to create a email address under BT domain.

Although there have been various reports of email being withdrawn for new accounts.

The link does not describe the procedure to create a free basic email Id. There is no where any option

But as already said, it may have been withdrawn. I say "may" because there have been further reports of it still being offered to new customers since that report @Keith_Beddoe linked to.

You would be better sticking with Gmail, as there are often issues with BT Mail.

From 26 October BT Email will no longer be offered to customers who take BT Broadband packages. For customers who have not already set up the service, the option to do so will no longer exist in MyBT.  Existing BT Broadband customers who already have a BT Email service activated, can continue to use it as including the ability to create additional email addresses up to the 11 permitted
