This morning IMAP stopped working with my BT email account. I have tried several email clients on PC and Android but none of them work and they behave like I have entered an incorrect email or password. I have checked my password is correct and can log in to webmail without issues. I am using the mail.btinternet.com server information and SSL encryption settings as per the instructions but I still cannot get it to work.
I contacted BT through Twitter and, rather unhelpfully, was told that they cannot provide support for third party applications even though I am fairly sure the problem is with BT. I have never had any issue with other mail providers but BT seem particularly unreliable and unhelpful.
