BT Network points not working

I have recently moved into a new build and paid extra for "BT Data Points" that i was told will give internet access via ethernet. When i moved in i noticed they were phone line connection points, which they have now changed to ethernet ports as i was told all the internal cables were cat5.

I have FTTP and have my smart hub 2 connected to the white FTTP box, and another ethernet going from the smart hub to my "Data point" master socket which i was told would power all the houses ethernet points, however none of them seem to be working.

So my question is, is there anyway of getting these ethernet pots to work or am i just doing something wrong?

Re: BT Network points not working

Internal wiring is the responsibility of the developer.

You can't connect the hub to one data socket and expect it to feed multiple sockets. All the data cables are simply point to point effectively long patch leads.

If you wish to feed 3 rooms, you need 3 sockets adjacent to the hub wired to the 3 rooms separately. You cannot daisy chain as you would with phone wiring.
