BT WIFI Disc and ethernet backhaul?

Go to solution

Hi,

At my mum's we've just switched her over to BT Whole Home Wifi.

She has a tall, victorian house, so it presents issues.

Now, as it happens, there is an ethernet cable that runs outside the house all the way up to the attic (and I've got that connect to the BT hub).

We've just ordered a new disk and I wondered if I could plug this new WIFI disk it into that? I.e. does that then work in 'back haul' mode?

Hi @JoelHughes

Yes, connecting the disc by Ethernet works fine. Have a read of the thread below. Note your mum has BT Complete WiFi and not BT Whole Home which is is a different product completely (white discs).

HI,

many thanks for that - very helpful. It was very useful to log into the Hub admin and see the new disk connected via Ethernet.

Thanks

Joel
