BT free joining gift issue

Hi all,

I just wanted to post my grievances with the free gift for joining and see if anyone else has had the same issue and if so what they did about it. So I joined BT since august and I was told I'd receive a free gift of either an XBox or a samsung tablet if I paid £10 extra/month for BT Sport, and since I was looking for tablets anyway I said yes. Now it's almost January and nothing. I've called on at least 5 occasions to be told that I'd get a call back and not once has that happened.

If anyone else has had this issue, please do let me know what you did or how you sorted this out.

Orders placed over the phone are not eligible, unless you received a verbal promise that you would receive the gift, as all calls are recorded.

Keith, I believe that changed at some point & the offers of free gifts are available over the phone BUT the reward cards are still online only

Yeah it was a verbal promise, that's the whole issue. I was going to take the deal without BT Sport and the guy I spoke with said that if I paid the £10 extra for BT Sport I'd be in receipt of either an Xbox or a tablet, and so here we are
