Hi Gavin - I do not have a BT ID.
All I have are 2 x "btinternet.com" email addresses. Both my webmail and outlook email downloads are still failing.
I am having the same problem.
Have had for the last 4 or 5 days.
I can access on my phone via the app but not through, firefox, google chrome, internet explorer, or microsoft edge!!
I've cleared the history, cookies cache etc, I've made my email the "favourite" and still nothing!
So flipping frustrating, come on BT there are so many of us with this issue surely something can be done to fix this.

It’s getting beyond a joke. No one at BT has taken ownership of this problem. The incoming server times out permanently on any app and in the webmail, is extremely temperamental. It’s 2 weeks tomorrow I’ve had the problem and feel that as a paying premium customer, is beyond poor customer service. 6 different people have promised on the phone to resolve this including a complaint. There is clearly an issue with the server but no one seems to have a clue!
