BT youview equipment return?

hi, apologies for posting perhaps what has been asked before but...

Can someone advise if it is compulsory to return my T2100 Youview box , back to BT ( return bag sent ) ?

I have definately had it about 3 years and just recently adjusted my BT TV contract which generated the return request.

i wont return it if not legally/contractually required as i could repurpose it myself 🙂

If you were sent the Youview box before 13/12/2019 the equipment belongs to you and you can recycle it yourself, BT will send a jiffy bag automatically, it's optional to use it.
