Can I transfer from a handset plan to a sim only plan

I have a handset plan with BT mobile which is now out of contract. Is it possible to change this to a sim only plan or would I need to set up a new plan and transfer the number?

You can downgrade to a new Sim only plan when in the last 30 days or out of the minimum term, look at the offers at www.bt.com/mybt or calling the mobile loyalty team on 0800 800 150 or 150 from your BT Mobile.
