(I have been told to post this here, although I know it needs a BT employee to set this out!)
I am transitioning my email account away from BT, as I don't currently have any other BT products and the new pricing is prohibitive just for simple email. The problem I have is there are two sub-accounts that I would like to convert to Prime Accounts so those individuals can manage their own email going forward. One is for my Mother who has BT broadband, BT-TV etc so would want the account associated with her BT product account.
Many thanks!
Gareth
If your mother has a BT Broadband account you could move all your email addresses to her Broadband account. This would negate the need for you to stop using your email account.
See link
Did you not set up a BTID for the account where your email addresses originate from?
You don't need to hand over control of your email address. Once she has it as part of her 11 email addresses she can then "gift" it to you and you accept it. You then set up your own BTID so that you manage it.
After you have done that all your mother would be able to do with the account is to delete it from being one of her 11 email addresses.
She would need to do that deliberately and follow a set procedure so she would be very unlikely to do it by accident.
See link about BTID and setting one up is gifted a BT email address

Believe it or not its about 20 years since I have had BT Broadband!! I have just hung on to this account through all its iterations over the years! So no BTID!
I shall try this - thank you!
You could try importing them into your mother's account under the manage email section of MyBT.
