Hi
So I spoke to someone at BT and they said I can place order for FTTP product however would need to wait up to 3 weeks for OpenReach engineer to come make it live.
What does this mean? Does it mean they need to drill and put in a ONT?
Its a new build apartment.
Thanks
Does the flat not have an existing ONT?
If it’s a Brand New Build I would’ve assumed it would’ve been installed during build process.
If not then it would require an Engineer visit to install one.
I did not get a good look at the utility cupboard as the door was not opening and agent thought there was no cupboard there but turns out there is. so not been able to check if ONT is there.
The person on the call said ONT must be there but it needs to be made live by engineer. Which is what I dont get.
It could be an ONT does exist but it might be unplugged and they’re not seeing it.
As this is a new broadband package that you have ordered, then it up to BT to sort it out for you, as although all the indications are correct, it may not have been built correctly on the network.
Speak to the FTTP team.
Ok thanks
