Today I put my postcode in the Openreach Fibre First FTTP checker & it said this:
At the moment, we don't have any plans to upgrade your area to full fibre
This is interesting as we recently had contractors in our street taking the manholes up, rodding through the ducts & laying new draw ropes. I asked if they were from Virgin Cable (but that's another story!) but no, they said the area was getting FTTP & they'd been contracted to lay fibre cables for BT/Openreach. They also said they'd be back in a few weeks to install the actual cables. So much for the 'no plans' message on the website!
