I'm having issues trying to get internet in my new place.
The previous owner had Superfast, and when I go to order online I get the message "Great news
You could be doing more online with Superfast Fibre, and you can get BT TV. See below for your personal speed range."
It tells me I'd have a Stay Fast Guarantee of 41Mb
I then choose my package, skip all TV and mobile as I don't need it, and get to the final step where I'm asked to re enter my post code and select my address, again. Suddenly I'm told "Sorry, the package you've selected isn't available. Please choose another from those shown below. If Fibre options are not listed, you're not eligible for those packages."
The only option I can then choose is :
Broadband Unlimited with an estimated download speed of between 1-3 Mbps
We checked out the internet before we decided to buy the house obviously. BT told us we could get fibre, and the previous owner had it. I have been on the phone with BT today and they seemed confused too. Said it could be a capacity issue but were not all that helpful, just said there was nothing they could do. Surely there must be something? We are going to have to sell the house if we can't get decent internet, we need to be able to work from home. Really hoping someone has some insight. Thanks in advance.

It is possible the cabinet is full. Put your phone number in HERE and post the result.
No phone number unfortunately as we've just got the house - are there any other ways to check?
you can use your address just not as accurate as phone number https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
Does that look like a full cabinet? I'm not totally sure what I'm looking at. The FTTP availability date says 'available', yet in words under the table it says it isn't?
I just want some internet lol plz :'(
FTTC is available according the the address checker but the FTTPoD is more a business use and not the same as your see advertised FTTP
Hmm ok, so not something I can get into my home at all? How is it the previous owners of this house had fibre just a few weeks ago I wonder? Do you have any suggestions moving forward - knowing the house had decent internet was a large factor in buying this property. We would not have considered it otherwise.
I really appreciate all your help today!
Until you get a working phone line installed, its not going to be possible to say, however as the cabinet is not full, then I cannot see any issue, once the phone line is active and the Openreach database has updated with your routing.
FTTC looks like its available.
Will go ahead and try to get a landline sorted without internet then. Hopefully won't be a waste of money.
