So I have been trying to upgrade my FTTP to Fibre 900 - hardly a massive priority given current climate, but still!
It's available at my property - if I try to do an order as a new customer though, I get this :-
ADSL Checker :-
When I rang to upgrade yesterday the value team guy said he could only see 300Mbps available to me, and he indicated it was probably because I was in a contract.
Anyone in contract that has managed to upgrade?
Cheers!
Yep, I was in contract on the 300Mbps package and was able to upgrade to Fibre 900 package without issue.
It is masrked as KCI2 though which I think means that the equipment isnt fully in place yet?
Not 100% sure though
Good to know that being in contract is not an issue.
Dunno about the KCI2 thing.
I have no upgrade options available to me, so no idea what the issue is on that front!
So the 1000Mbps needs different / upgraded equipment at the exchange iirc.
The KCI2 marker is usualy a sign that costs and such has been agreed by not finalized / built yet, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
My ADSL checker when I had the FTTP installed said up to 330. It subsequently changed last month to up to 1000.
I'm on a Nokia headend I believe - I have the tiny single port ONT.
Yeah it's very possible that the KSI2 means that the head-end upgrade has been agreed price wise, then but hasn't yet started to be built.
I'm on a Huawei single port ONT myself.

KC12 assure refers to initial FTTP install and nothing else.
Yeah, happened to read that yesterday!
