Your fibre connection is totally separate from copper, so provided you do not attempt to port your phone number over, and simply accept a new phone number from BT Retail, then things should go smoothly. If you attempt to port your number over, then expect lots of delays.

The fibre connection is a totally new connection, independent of any existing copper service that you have, in fact they could run concurrently, but that would be a waste of money.

The port number from shell to SSe. BT give a completely new number. So the copper line master socket obsolete and  gets completely removed.

Then I cannot see any problems, provided the FTTP connection gets installed and activated on time.
