Hiya,
As the title says, when i receive a call on my bt landline from a Virgin Landline number then my phone crackles lots and I struggle to hear the other person.
If someone rings me from other providers then there seems to be no crackle
Has anyone any ideas if this is a problem with my phone or Virgin landlines (it is more than one virgin phone number)
or how I can solve it, do I need an engineer visit?
Many thanks
Who provides your phone service?

BT
It won`t be a fault with your line, its more likely a network interconnect timing issue, where the Virgin network joins the BT network. Other people would be affected as well, its not something that an Openreach engineer can fix.
Have you always had a BT Retail phone number?
Thank you, that is what I thought to be honest and yes always had BT
Thank you again for your reply 🙂

I am not sure how this can be investigated, as it would have to be dealt with by what used to be called BT Wholesale.
There will be an OLO (Other Licenced Operator) interconnect point, most likely in the parent BT exchange which your local exchange concentrator is linked to. Faults like this can be difficult to locate, but skilled transmission staff should be able to manage it. It could also be a fault on the Virgin network.
All I can do is to ask a moderator whether there is a way they can progress this.
Hi @Keith_Beddoe,
Thanks for raising this. To be honest I'm not sure it there is anything we can di with this but I'll be happy to give it a go.
@venusbluejeans I'll drop you a private message now so you can get in touch.
Cheers
